MSC Orchestra Adelaide Inspection

MSC Orchestra Adelaide Inspection - 22 March 2015

We were blessed with the presence of MSC Orchestra in Adelaide on Sunday 22nd March 2015, on her maiden visit to Australian waters.

We were welcomed on board with a drink and snack, with a short outline of MSC Cargo and now MSC Cruise Lines, the company a family run operation. They are an incredible company, working on keeping "green" as well as the charities they support, combating malnutrition around the world.

We were fortunate enough to be able to inspect some cabins, most unusual, however the company for her first visit, thought it was vital that we get to see how our mutual guests would be spending their nights on board.

The inside cabin/outside cabins were a little small, however were well fitted out with amenities and have everything you need. As you go up in categories of cabins, the spaces were bigger, and the balconies available were a great size also.

Given that the Orchestra takes approx 3200 guests on board, the public areas are very well designed with partitions and space to make it seem intimate, even with that many people on board!

The Pool areas, spa, kids club, bars, lounges are all very well thought out, with such attention to detail, that you dont feel as though anything is missing.

The stunning Theatre holds 1200 people, and we were invited to go down to the steps/stage so we could look back and get the impact. Stunning. please look at the pictures on the link below.

There are 2 main smoking areas in the Cigar Lounge, and the Casino, with other designated smoking areas on deck. No smoking on the balconies of cabins is permitted, to the relief of non smokers everywhere.

Then we were invited to lunch by MSC, with a lovely lunch - 4 courses if we wanted to eat that much, with wines to match.

Please look at the photos I took on the day on the below link.
