Air Australia placed into voluntary administration
We were advised this morning Air Australia (formerly known as Strategic Airlines) has been placed into Voluntary Administration.
Air Australia operated flights from Brisbane and Melbourne to Honolulu, Bali and Phuket.
As a result of this Voluntary Administration, the Air Australia fleet will be grounded and no further flights will be operational, at least in the short to medium term. We have received no advice relating to any potential re-commencement date.
We are of course committed to providing assistance to you, our passengers.

Got the message regarding Air Australia at 6.15 am this morning. Turned the computer on rebooked other airlines return airfares 2 pax to Phuket, and 4 pax to Hawaii and text a stranded passenger in Bali even before he woke up and have now rebooked him. All before the other travel agents in normal offices were at their desk !!!!
