13 Jan, 2014 Peregrine Reserve Launches New 2014 Programme

Luxury small group travel operator Peregrine Reserve has added six brand-new destinations to its 2014 programme and introduced a series of ‘short journeys’ that provide an opportunity to extend the Reserve experience before or after longer tours.

Now in its third year, with 36 years of Peregrine experience behind it, Reserve is offering new itineraries in Spain, France, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico for the first time.

Taste of Andalucía is expected to be a popular new nine day trip encompassing the tastes and flavours of the towns and landscapes of Spain’s Andalucía region. Having lunch at the tapas bars of the San Miguel market in Madrid, tasting the wines and brandy of Jerez on a private tour of its best bodegas and feasting on dishes created in a cooking class in Tolox lead by a Michelin starred chef are just some of the deliciously enticing experiences on offer.

With interest in travel through Central America steadily on the rise, Reserve’s new Cuba in Colour tour is sure to gain attention. The rich cultural heritage of Cuba will come to light on this nine day tour, where experiences include driving around Havana in classic American vintage cars, a private tour of one of Cuba’s largest and most renowned cigar factories, snorkelling at a beach in the Peninsula de Zapata, wondering the streets of cobble stoned Trinidad and going on a private charter for a cruise to Cayo Macho.

A range of brand-new short journeys in Guilin, Tibet, Varanasi, Bhutan, Rome, Gallipoli, the Moroccan Sahara, Essaouira and Zanzibar from 3-7 days in length will give clients a small taste of the Reserve experience. Whether it’s wondering through the ruins in Rome, relaxing on the idyllic beaches of Zanzibar or cruising on the River Ganges at sunrise, a Reserve short journey will no doubt leave clients wanting more.

All Reserve tours have a maximum group size of 12 or less, allowing for intimate experiences not available to coach tours and larger groups. With stays in 4.5 plus boutique hotels and a range of exceptional experiences, Reserve tours offer immersion along with style and comfort. A number of guaranteed departures now apply to all tours.

Private and tailor-made journeys are also available to clients with all of Reserve’s small group tours available as a private journey and the option of amending existing itineraries, including dates, the tour’s pace and a variety of activities, is possible to suit any client’s needs and interests.

In addition to private journeys, clients can also create a completely bespoke itinerary, even to a destination not currently featured in the Reserve programme. These tailor-made trips are created in close consultation with a Reserve specialist and a large network of local operators in over 80 countries, who will research and develop an entirely unique trip.
