Towering platters of seafood, bergamot-scented streets, shady olive groves, and glasses of deliciously chilled rosé overlooking the glittering sea – you can’t beat summer in the Mediterranean, as you’ll discover on this delightful cruise. Casting off from the French city of Marseille, we hop over the Spanish border for our first stop, the fishing town of Palamos, followed by pretty Mahón in Menorca, and the soulful side of Ibiza. Next, the coastal cities beckon: dynamic Alicante; Valencia, birthplace of paella; and Tarragona, with its immaculately preserved Roman ruins. Then it’s on to the beautiful Balearics, with stops in Palma de Mallorca and another chance to explore Mahón. After a sea day, we call by Italy’s pastel-pretty Cinque Terre then sail on to Livorno, gateway to Pisa and Florence. We’re southbound now, heading to Porto Santo Stefano for a wilder view of Tuscany before our final overnight in Civitavecchia, just a short hop from Rome.
