As Covid-19 continues to keep us grounded we can be thankful that South Australia has so much to offer, from luxury Glamping to family friendly resorts. Today I am going to give you so of my favourite luxury resorts here in South Australia.
The Frames Riverland – Paringa
The Frames is the perfect place for a romantic getaway for two. Relax and enjoy the award-winning accommodation set on the peaceful banks of the Murray River. The Frames offers spectacular fine dining experiences with your own private chef. However, if you would prefer to cook for yourself then there is an option to have a Supreme BBQ pack delivered to your retreat. Whilst enjoying this world class luxury and personal hospitality you will have all the time in the world to embrace the visual splendour this magnificent region has to offer. There are vineyards, distilleries, Gin Master classes and Gourmet Food tours available. And for the more athletic you can hike or go canoeing along the river. After all this fun a romantic evening gondola ride down the river would be a perfect way to finish off your day.

Mount Lofty House – Adelaide Hills
Built in 1852 by Arthur Hardy a prominent statesman, his home became known for its lavish parties for the Adelaide’s elite. Over the years this house has passed through several different owners and then in 1893 it unfortunately burnt to the ground. This spectacular house has been rebuilt and today is a luxurious hotel for all to experience.
Enjoy a luxury stay at Mt Lofty House, located right in the middle of Australia’s most famous wine regions, surrounded by botanic gardens, boutique wineries overlooking the stunning Piccadilly Valley and only 15 minutes away from the CBD. The iconic designer boutique hotel is steeped in almost 150 years of history, and is famous for luxury escapes, its 3-chef hat fine dining restaurant and indulgent day spa experiences.

Mayfair Hotel – Adelaide
Have you ever imagined stepping back in time and partying like the Great Gatsby! The luxurious Mayfair Hotel can transport you back to this bygone era. This opulent hotel is a great place to enjoy a romantic weekend away.
I recommend starting your weekend at The Hennessy Rooftop Bar. This bar opened in 2015 was named after the buildings original architects, Hennessey, Hennessey & Co. With its elegant deco, spectacular crystal chandeliers and outdoor terrace overlooking Rundle St, it is a great place to sip champagne and catch up with friends. You might even get to spot some of the Mayfair Hotel’s rooftop bees who have been in residence since 2015, or purchase some of their honey to take home with you.
For those that love afternoon tea the Mayfair’s Mayflower restaurant is where you can enjoy the legendary Mayfair hotel High Tea.
